Local Green Initiatives

Tahsis Salmon Enhancement Society

Each year Tahsis's Salmonoid Program releases from 250,000 to 500,000 fry (80% Chinook, 20% Coho) into the Tahsis and Leiner Rivers on the Tahsis Inlet. The program is completely staffed by local volunteers, with assistance of a coordinator from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Donations to the Society go towards equipment, nets, trays, other various supplies, and future projects.
